There's only 2 BMW dealers in Utah. Murray, and Pleasent Grove. There is lot's of stuff to do in SLC, one of my favorite things to do is the mountain roads cruise every weekend. Downtown SLC scene is pretty cool. Lot's of cool bar's and pub's, the beer is only 5% though.

On a side note went to the midnight showing of FF6 last night with a bunch of my car friends. The movie is cheesy at parts but overall it's pretty good. Wait till you see who's in the next one..

Also I'm kinda upset that 100 octane is 9.50 a gallon at the pump... I'm probably gonna have to do water meth. E85 is all the way down in Orem and I don't feel like driving down there every week like I used to.

Thanks guys...I'll probably just try to find a shop to do it since I don't have a ton of time lately plus I hate working on cars now.

I am thinking about buying a used 328 RWD Coupe to drive in SLC. Is it worth buying one with FWD for $2000 more (outside of my budget)? I think it would be more cost-effective if I bought dedicated winter tires?

What would you do? I just don't know how safe/unsafe a RWD is with dedicated winter tires during SLC winters?

I think you'll be fine, SLC doesn't get as much snow as we do and I-40 to Park city that i drive is hardly ever plowed, I've had no problems here.

Actually the beer in Utah is only 3.2%, it tastes a bit watered down but it still works.

Does anybody know the sales tax % in Utah for cars? I am coming from Oregon and just want to calculate how much DMV will be charging me when I buy a used car?

Depending on the city. Will be around 6.85%

Every Saturday morning cars and coffee on 106th and about 700 west. Always a good time. Also check out Utah BMW enthusiasts on Facebook, we plan monthly meets on there.

down pipe install is 200-250, intercooler about 100 so around 350. A lift would be a plus.

It's 3.2% but that's by weight in regular gas stations, stores and bars. Thats 4% by volume which everywhere else seems to measure with. That's pretty close to everywhere else to be honest. I'm from Ireland and we like our drink ;-) I can't even tell e difference to be honest.

Any idea where to go more importantly? Ideally a shop that specializes in BMW of course.

I can tell the difference, you also can't get "New Castle Brown Ale" on tap in Ut because it's alcohol content is too high, must buy from the Ut State Liquor store only for $2.80 a bottle. I have lived here most of my life and have enjoined beer from many other places as well as in Ut. Take a trip to Vegas or even Evenston Wy. and have a beer.

It's really good! If you like "sweet beer" you can also try ACE pear beer, it's really good too! You can get them at any liquor store or the Beer Hive downtown, sometimes they are out though.

What do you guys think? I think its very unique and different. All three pictures represent the intake without high-heat automative clear coat.
