New 2011 328i x-Drive ConnectedDrive

Hello all,

First post, sorry for it being so long...

I ordered a 328i x-Drive in August, my VIR indicated 6VC Combox controller as N/C. Production was completed on Sept. 7 or 8, shipped and arrived last week and has made it to my dealership and is ready for delivery. I ordered the car with metallic paint, value package, premium package, sport package w/paddle shifters, automatic, heated steering, navigation, smartphone integration, split rear seat and satellite radio. I've been in constant contact with the dealership about the Sept. updates including the upgrade back to the HiFi Sound System and the ConnectedDrive updates based on the fact that my car was finished with production so close to the beginning of Sept. According to my sales rep, after he inspected the car, it does have the tweeters in the front doors, so it sounds like it does have that Sept. HiFi update. He also said it did not come with the Y-cable and that they plugged an Ipod in using the standard Ipod cable (one wire integration) and it worked and displayed album art, so it appears to have the ConnectedDrive updates as well. But I will be checking on other functionality that was supposed to be part of the ConnectedDrive enhancements (I do not have a BB so I'm not sure how much of the Mobile Office I can check), but will check the external call lists, bluetooth music streaming, one-write integration, album cover art, voice control, and driver updates. Anyone have any suggestion on how to check to make sure it has all the new ConnectedDrive enhancements and is there anything I am missing about the new enhanced ConnectedDrive that I should be checking to make sure this is the most current release before I accept delivery?

Also (and this is in hindsight, our agreement is in place), but Iím wondering what others would think of this lease deal?

My comments on the pricing, I know the money factor is a little high, program factor is actually 0.00125. They wouldnít move on that, but if the overall deal (not taking into account the $1,000 BMW Ultimate Driving Experience offer, which was extended through Oct.) offsets the rate and gives reasonable payment, Iím ok with that. I figure the $1,000 took about $30 off the payment, would have been about $591 without that offer.

From reading other posts on this board, Iím thinking I might be taking delivery of one of the first September production E90ís, so I will report back on my findings for the ConnectedDrive when I go in for delivery which is scheduled for Weds. 10/6 at 6:00 pm CST.

Any feedback I could get regarding the pricing and how to confirm it includes the latest ConnectedDrive enhancements would be appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. Sorry about the formatting, I'm not sure how to line the columns up better for an easier read.

Sounds like a great car - what color?

I think half rate is something that makes sense. The F&I department needs to make a bit of a profit.

Black Sapphire metallic with oyster/black interior. Can you clarify what you mean by "I think half rate is something that makes sense"? I know 0.00125 is roughly 3.0% and 0.0015 is about 3.6%, you think about a half point bump on rate is fair? Any thoughts on the actual selling price/discount?

Thanks

After having the car for a day, I'm starting the think there is more to ConnectedDrive than just having the 6vc combox, does anyone know if it is a subscription service to get certain additional enhancements? Is it even available in the US at this time?

There isn't much more than iDrive operating instructions in the owners manual, really not much about ConnectedDrive options/enhancements you find on the above website. I'll be calling BMW Customer Service tomorrow, but anyone have any thoughts or additional information they can share?
