I think the lack of response is due to the fact that not many have tried this!....thats a big commitment...but we would love it if you show us how you proceed....

Check also the conversion to an M series somewhere on the forum....

Ill bet the parts are more plug capable than play capable...I would also bet the codes can be fixed....but its just a guess...

good luck with it!

I did the front end, you will need lci grilles, hood, and front bumper (plus associated lower grilles etc). Sonic tuning I believe has a front end lci conversion "package" if you give them a call they can help you out. If you also want to do headlights (not necessary) there could be a lot of work there depending if you are going from xenon to xenon etc. The rear requires trunk and tails and coding for the tails

whoa! awesome help! i have found the conversion on this site for the trunk. isnt that bad. like tjnitsche said "The rear requires trunk and tails and coding for the tails". that i read up on, thanks!

jp, im definitely going to document this as a diy. was really interested in either the stock 09 front or 09 msport. probably leaning toward the stock front because it looks so damn aggressive and factory spec.

BUT! i have halogen front end. looking at the ebay ones, but JP going from halogen to xenon ahl, any thoughts?

Hi there! I have actually done the whole conversion.

The only thing that gives it away is the mirrors, witch I actually think is much nicer than the LCI ones.

I started with a 2007 M-Sport e90, ended up with a "2007" e90 BMW Performance LCI.

Let me know if you have any questions.
