That makes sense! its coming from the driver’s side under the bonnet, hard to locate. But I rekon you are right!

Should I be adding any additivities to the fuel for this tune??

Cheers!

Yep, that's where it's located. Don't worry about it

Nah nothing other than if you want to clean out the injectors every so often. Liqui Moly makes some good stuff

Checkout this thread, it's a discussion from the last few days, page 2 has SE7EN335's video of what it sounds like.

Hey guys, need a recommended proven to work cable for MHD that ships from Australia. I need it by the end of the month and worried one from overseas won't arrive in time. Anyone buy one from a local seller that has worked without issues or one you may recommend that someone else you know has used?

I already bought the USB OTG cable as suggested previously just in case but my set up of BMWhat cable and USB OTG has shat itself and no longer works. Won't connect to BMWhat/Carly app or MHD any more. Was working flawlessly a year ago when I last used it.

Alternatively, can anyone lend me theirs and I'll buy that one vtl recommended from Hong Kong and I'll have it shipped directly to you? I need it in about a week when I pick up the car to flash off 100% E85 and back to pump before I drive from Sydney to Port Macquarie!

I bought the one on the below link from a local eBay seller in NSW and it works fine for me. Delivery was within a couple of days. It does however have the white board which I think may be okay for the Pre lci cars mine being 07/07 build. I think vtl recommends the one with the green board and that works for all years, but i'm guessing here

V6.1 for faster spool and smoother power delivery. V5 for greater mid range boost/torque. Pick your poison.

V6.1 an V5 are standalone flashes. Not compatible with JB4, you need a backend flash.

Yea I figured this out after I wrote it, I did Pelicn Euro Pump BEF, (thank you) and all went well with the install. I cant say I notice the difference to be completely honest. I'm running it with JB4 on map 2. I did a log, any advice let me know. Car didnt throw 30FF code although boost is running way below target?

Hmmm would sound pretty awesome combined with the exhaust valve unplug mod methinks.

All that pop crackling goodness would give the CAT(s) a good workout no doubt, especially if you only got the secondary cats left after the DP catless mod.

People who've tried both JB4 Map2 and MHD Stage 2 DP + FMIC, what are your thoughts?

Considering going MHD only and taking out the JB4.

Absolutely. When i anti-lag in my old vehicle, my cats lost their 9 lives pretty quickly and came out the exhaust in pieces. After which, flame on!

Anti-lag and exhaust burble on decleration all completely different.

Exhaust burble is just fuel, where anti-lag has ignition when the exhaust valve is open = bang bang kill cats.

But if i'm not mistaken, excessive fuel into cats will cause early demise as well, just not in bits and pieces. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

Hey guys,

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I tried to search for this but seems to be mixed answers everywhere.

I have 2 questions.

1. I have jb4, down pipes and intakes. Do I need to disable the jb4 by putting it to map 0 and then flash with mhd stage 2? Or would I be better just using the BMS backend flash for the jb4? I want to run some sort of ethanol blend as well on weekends and 98 during the week.

2. What would you guys do in this situation. I'm potentially taking the jb4 off if I don't need it. The only reason I keep it is for the live data logging with my laptop.

Thanks

Need to set JB4 to map zero before MHD flashing or the flash won't work. Keep JB4 for boost control. I sold mine when I went MHD only to have to buy another one when I wanted to do a custom MHD tune
