Why so many JB3's on sale all of a sudden??

Just curious, looking at the for sale section and SOO many JB3's are for sale now (both pinout and pnp). Just a couple of months ago, people couldnt even get their hands on one and it was on back order.. now it's all over the place for REAL cheap.. makes me a lil dissapointed that i paid full price for it.

dont get me wrong, i love it and look forward to the future map upgrades. however, why is everyone selling their JB3?

to switch to a diff tune? i see that Proceed is getting hot again. for awhile, everyone was selling theirs to go to JB3, now vice-versa maybe? what's going on?

+1 the economy is blowing hardcore. I've lost a lot of money in the stock market.

well, i understand but few things i still get confused.

1) we drive bmws.. im' sure most can afford to "keep" a tune

2) the price on these dropped like crazy so to sell now, one is losing a crap load. def. not worth it.

must be more than just to recoup a couple hundred bux (if that..)

I just noticed a large number of JB3's too, and the funny thing is most of them don't realize that Terry lowered the price and they are asking more than what Terry charges for a new unit (which comes with his upgrade credit for 6 months).

Everyone is going for the new Procede - same thing happened when the JB3 came out - lots of SSTT's and old Procede's for sale and the prices tanked!

They aren't much money. I agree that it looks odd. If you can afford a 335i than you can probably afford to keep the tune.(unless you want to upgrade it)

I love mine and don't care about my warranty. Put it in last week from the Group buy. The prices listed seem to be the same as the GB price. All I can think is that they are people who ordered and changed minds and want a little cash for Christmas. The GB JB3s were shipping out the past couple weeks.

Sorry to go OT

coldasicex5, wow joined in March 2008 and has 18,575 posts?
That's like 75-80 a day, everyday since you've joined.

Holy sh1t!!!
And I thought I spent too much time here. LOL
No job? If so, what kind of job lets you spent your life on here?
No wife or girlfriend? If so, you better be pleasing her nightly or she'll quickly be leaving you to find someone who'll give her as much attention as you give this site.
No kids? If so, for the love of them, go do something with them before they start calling some other guy dad.

No offense man (and a piece of advice) but maybe it's time for a hobby or doing something where you can breathe some fresh air (or hit the gym, cause with that much seat time, I'm positive something other than your fingers needs a work out.)

Again, sorry for going OT, just wanted to give my little PSA for cold.
Cheers

People aren't selling JB3s to make a few bucks. Nor do I think many people intentionally trade tunes like they trade stocks (buy low/sell high). As various tuning options mature, most independantly thinking people can see the direction where each tunes is going and figure out what best suits their particular need. It's easy to be influenced by the new product on the block, whatever that may be at any given time. But once the hype settles, people can assess their priorities and make a solid (and hopefully final) decision.

+18,000 There is a lot of truth in your post Driver! My wife hates this site. Sorry for the continued OT but I think a lot of people could heed this advice!

Just curious, but how do you know what exactly people are selling ther JB3's for? Did you ask each person selling what for. Unless we are going by the few KNOWN people who have actually switched over.

As i see it today, it has become offical that the US is in a Depression and it is Decemeber(Holidays), some people are stepping back and using the money for other/ different reasons could very well be the case.

Are you saying that people are being easily influcened by your product, because it is the new product on the block with all its special/user adjustable features?
That wouldnt really make sense either since there is about the same number of V3's as JB3's for sale within the past month, so ill start making the new thread
" Why so many PROcede V3's for sale?"

I am just asking from how it looks.

Could be true, of course we know its pretty pointless in general to do so since there isn't such a big benefit in doing so, since it runs the same and you can't basically see the damn thing anyways. Plus you cant go in floods anymore with the new one.

Back on Topic, this is normal and a natural progression. All new products have an inrush and then the honeymoon ends and the annulments begin.
