Better Throttle Response
I'm looking to get better throttle response and less lag. Does anyone have any experience with a sprint booster or anything similar?
Thanks Jake |

It is quite ridiculous. I had both of those installed for mine two weeks ago. I kick it into 2nd gear and BOOM.

Similar question...how to improve throttle response when running Cobb Stage 1 Agressive AT? My logs still show a few tenths second delay between accelerator position and throttle position. Seems like an electronic delay...Would SprintBooster help?

I really think the problem with the N55 is the single Cat/DP. You've got all six cylinders routed through a single Cat as opposed to two Cats (i.e. one Cat per three cylinders). Getting this done ASAP.

Yes, I agree. I'm hoping that the DP will help with the turbo lag but it seems that this throttle is mapped more conservatively compared to my previous cars (2007 335i, 2008 M3). Maybe the sprint booster would help or maybe Terry/Shiv could address it with their respective tunes.

as i know, throttle controller can improve throttle response , Its main role is to control the throttle opening and the reaction, so that the engine can be able to achieve faster response and allows the power play well when start or accelerate.

So, anyone ever use the Sprint Booster
or Blitz? Any aftermarket ETC's that are better? $329.00 for the Sprint is fairly high to me. But I would be willing to try it if anyone can give personal input...

wait for cobb to come out with the access system, a tuner will be able to adjust the throttle response to help out a bit.

I got the Berk Technology 4" DP installed at EAS this week and I have to say the improvement is pretty dramatic. Better sound improved throttle response and less lag. Power has improved as well according to the butt dyno. Car felt choked a bit before especially at higher RPM (> 5000). The only negative is the increased smell since the car is now catless. The OEM DP is pretty cool since it integrates two cats into one piece with the O2 sensor in between. The smell isn't bad...you don't notice anything at all when driving but you occasionally notice it when stopped at a light or right after pulling into the garage. I think the trade off is worth it. Definitely one of the bigger bangs for the buck for this car.
