By the way I'm not taking offers so don't bother sending me a lowball PM.

Thanks, it's a great car overall and I wouldn't mind keeping it if it does not generate interest. It has all the right options and was taken care of by an enthusiast. I more or less really miss the feel of a smaller car after driving this the last week or so. I don't give many people rides anyway and I don't care if my friends have legroom or not in the back seat

I know the feeling, I wouldn't want a car any bigger and it takes some getting used to after driving short wheelbase impractical cars

When I bought in 2009, the 135i was actually more expensive (1 year old vs. 2) so I went with the 335i. There are a lot of nice features you may be giving up to get into the 135i, but overall, same glorious engine!

What sort of features provided equal options on both cars?

P.S. you have the perfect color combo. My S2000 that was replaced by the 335 was Grand Prix White with red and black interior.

I love the lighting on the door panels, the seatbelt extender, power-fold mirrors, the logic7 audio, and I like the navigation better on the 3.

If a 335i and 135i were the same price, I would still choose the 335i. I think the interior looks a bit better and the e92's exterior really looks good, especially with the front aero lip.

The difference in weight is less than 300 lbs. The cars are able to be similarly optioned. The costs between the 2 are not that significant. Either car is a great choice. It sounds like the lighter weight and shorter wheelbase will be a much better choice for you. If I only needed 2 seats and no trunk in a daily driver I don't think I'd even be looking at a BMW.

Interesting input. I actually think the 1 looks better lowered on some good looking wheels but that's purely opinion. I think you hit it right on the head as far as shorter wheelbase that makes it feel more sporty. I don't need backseats or really a trunk but nothing else range up as fun to drive, powerful for not much mod money and quiet/luxurious. My S2000 that was replaced checked a lot of the right boxes but was noisy and not quite comfortable for DD. Plus it was redundant to have 2 roadsters like the S2000 and Elise.

Beautiful car for a great price!

I'm actually in Fort Worth and have been in the market for a while (too long probably), and I have been looking at stuff with lower mileage. I'm noticing I'm being a lot more picky with color combinations (really looking for Alpine White/Coral!), so I probably wouldn't pull the trigger even if yours was in my preference range

Good luck with the sale/trade! Who knows, maybe driving the 3 as a daily will just make you appreciate the times you drive the Elise

Good luck, white/red is hard to find a 335 Coupe with a 6MT! At a good price, with reasonable miles...probably impossible
