I noticed the same thing. Much less of the snorting/gurgling I used to get on deceleration. I'd really love to know why that is if anyone has any idea...

exactly! way quieter and less gurgling during downshift between 2500-3000k rpm. in my bmw perf exhaust during down shift right at 3000 rpm, that's the sweetest spot for a loud "pop", but now it is well tamed and not noticeable at all.

My gf said my car was "quieter, less obnoxious and less jerky" with the Cobb. Even though it's a damn rocket now, I liked the gurgles Ahh well, maybe theyll come back with the next map release

same thing here. my guess they run a bit leaner than most, so your not leaving any risidual fuel in the cumbustion chamber. it's only a guess. I know nothing about actual tuning and what it actually doing.

As far as cruising most tunes target 14.7 AFR. The difference might be controlling throttle and injectors vs load perhaps. |

its all in the WG position during cursing. Some tune open the wastegate more then others. The more open the WG the less air the turbos sees, the louder your car.

im having a difficulty to change map, i did the beta update since my car is an 07, first install, i do see choices of map 0, 91 oct map, 93 oct map, and valet map to choose from. so i picked 93 oct map. and now i want to try out the 91 oct map, plugged in the AP to OBD, loaded the "tuning" and change map, there's nothing in there. can anyone help me if i did something wrong? or do i need to download the map? if so, where? thanks for the help!

Dang! I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones. Just tried to install and it stops at 3% and says it cannot communicate. I will have to wait until Cobb figures it out.

you can keep trying. that's what i did, and i finally able to finish it at probably my 2x times.... hahahaha, make sure you have a batt charger ready, since it will take you long time, i drained my battery that way.

i just downloaded and saved all the maps into the AP, and just reflashing it by "change map", deng it, 19% and got me an ECU comm error again. i thought i'll be sh!t and stuck. i took out the key, reinsert the key, and flash it again from the recovery mode, phew, thank god, it went through.... hahahahaha, so that's my first time switching map process from 93 -> 91. kinda scary until COBB find out what exactly is happening to us 07...

Question, for those without a battery charger, would hooking up jumper cables to the jump posts in the engine suffice? Obviously they would be connected to another running vehicle?

yea have a running vehicle and kinda just like a jump start procedure would work. that way you can ensure you have enough juice in your batt.

I'm going to try some other things with the Cobb later this week since I am having problems. Somebody I know who tunes is going to see if there is anything I'm missing. If I come across anything I will certainly let you all know. I should be doing this either Wednesday or Thursday.

Could the issue have to do with the rom? Just throwing it out there.
