Maybe now that you have an estimate of 3k+ call them and see if the cops will come back out to print, that much damage for sure makes this a felony...
Sucks man, hope you get it sorted and catch the fucker!

Had an older Porsche for a while, parked at a local mall away from other cars, came back to the same thing!
Miraculously the dents popped out and the scratches buffed out (my damage was not a severe as yours), but I still could not f'ing believe it! |

Yea the cops really let me down. Their reasoning was that even if printed and they found who it was, the person could say he walked by and touched my trunk, but didnt jump on my car.
They said without video or witnesses that wouldnt hold up. |

What a joke, at least they could scare the shit out of the little punk d bag if they found out who it was and who knows maybe prevent something like this from happening again.

In all fairness I think that your car deserves to walk on him. So run his bitch ass over! |

This is why you dont own a nice car and park it outside. Someone on my block daily parks an F30 335 on the street. SHAKE MY HEAD

People suck, but they're also stupid. If you could put a small cam up, i'd be willing to bet the a$$wipe will be back, and all you'd have to see is two things; 1. the sneakers (mos def vans with the flat soles), 2. this person with vans looking at your car for any length of time.
My guess is they did it to impress a girl. |

Insurance claim, essentialy a hit and run. They will fix it, you will forget about it and move on with your life. Should not affect your rates as it was not your fault.
