Getting warranty work done at a non dealer?

Can this be be done? Like the injectors or the fuel pump recall at a local BMW shop? I moved and the closest dealer is an hour and a half away.

Doesn't seem feasible for BMW to cover the cost of the repairs on someone else's terms.

interesting that the nearest BMW dealership is 1 1/2 hrs. away, usually it's the opposite, there are 5 or 6 within a 10 mile radius. That's probably what foreign car owners faced in the 1970's, no dealers for 1-2 hrs. from where they lived....
