wheel repair north nj?
where can i get my wheels repaired for a relatively good price in northern nj? a few curb rashes and a slight bend in one rim from a huge pothole on rt80... i'm not looking to spend a crazy amount on each wheel. thanks
EDIT: so a quick update asking for advice.. i have machined face wheels. one has a bend and curb rash and another has just curb rash. i went to auto collision experts and they quoted me 150-180 for just the one wheel with the bend and curb rash because they would have to remove the clearcoat and such. normally, i would just buy another wheel at 250 dollars, but the specific offset (19x9.5 ET33 Avant Garde M310 Gunmetal Machined Face) is not manufactured anymore. now before i cough up 150+ to get it repaired at auto collision experts, does anyone know of a place that can repair machined face wheels at a cheaper price? should i just go for it? thanks in advance Last edited by jetblackcoupe; 06-27-2012 at 06:31 PM.. |

I take my wheels there, too, and they do a great job... top notch.
They've usually charged me $150 per wheel with similar damage that you are describing.

Oh, yeah... my wheels only costed $250 also... many would say it's not worth it, but I am probably only a year or two out from getting new rims/tires and I would rather spend the $150 now rather than $250 so... up to you man... Also, the pot-hole dented my rim so badly that it shakes the whole car when I drive on that rim, so I had to do something about it...

PM'd you back... I paid $100 last week for a wheel that was BADLY damaged. Two day turn-around. The wheel looks brand new now. I've been using them for a couple of years.

they do great work in terms of fixing the wheel. i have machined face wheels and the only problem i came across was that their clearcoat did not match the Avant Garde factory clearcoat. but barely noticeable.
