From installing this twice now, I would recommend holding off on screwing the bolts on the bottom until the front top double sided tapes set (i.e. the windex completely dries off, especially if you're gonna use liberal amounts of Windex). Otherwise, you have the potential of creating an unsightly gap between the bumper and the lip, as the nonadhered windexed tape allows the aerolip to "slip and sag" a bit. The second time I installed it, I let it set overnight with the lip taped to the upper bumper with packaging tape, and then screwed the bolts in the next day. See the attached pics of a loose gap that can form if the tapes on top don't set right... Hope this helps others... |

since you did the install twice, could you tell me how you got the aero spoiler OFF the first time?? I have that same problem (the gap) and I want to re-do it... but I dont' know the safest way to get the thing off... thanks!

You can use the official "3M adhesive remover" but I used WD-40 and it worked just as well. Use the spary straw that it comes with to direct it into the crevices to saturate the adhesive. A blow dryer also was used to heat the areas you are putting traction on. It does take a bit of force to wiggle it off though. The paint underneath was not damaged in anyway... Good luck! |

I had mine shipped and then painted... reduces risk of paint damage while being shipped (although JLevi packs their products VERY well).
I would say that unless you know a very good shop to paint your aero lip, just have JLevi paint it... Well, you're in SoCal so I'd assume there are some great paint shops in your area... ask the other guys in the SoCal regional threads

This thread is like 10 years old...
Although front aero lip is still one of the best mods for the E92/93 to this day.

LOL love the revival of a 7 month old post. Not only did SROC revive the thread, but he did so to answer a 7 month old question!
