How many stats on '07 E92 325D!!!!!

Hi guys. I have been reading threads relating to changing stats but they all been for 330D. I checked Euro Car Parts online and there is only one stat listed which is Main Stat - Is there an EGR stat on my engine and where is it please...

i just had both main and egr changed. Opted to get someone to do it for me this time so i couldnt tell you where they are but im sure some others can. Theres also apparently one on the gearbox possibly? But that might just be for autos like mine, either way i didnt change that one, just the other 2, fixed my problems immediately

The EGR one is the top one you'll see it clearly when you remove the acoustic cover.

So is this main stat just under engineer cover or egr stat elsewhere

That is the egr cooler thermostat. The engine thermostat comes with the housing and looks er well like a thermostat housing. My advice is do not buy non genuine engine thermostat or you may well end up doing it twice, The Hella egr stat is OEM and is OK.
