I have a new, never used Canon 5D for sale. I can sell it with or without the 24-105mm 4.0L lens (UV date code and is also new).

Amazon is selling the body alone for about $2,000 and the lens for $1150 ($3150 total). I'm asking $1550 OBO for the body and $900 for the lens shipped to the 48 continental states. If purchased together I'm asking $2400 OBO.

I only have the cables, battery, charger, and the neck strap (no box, manuals, etc.). For that I will throw in a hood for the lens ($52.50 on Amazon) and I CAN INCLUDE THE RECEIPT FOR PROOF OF PURCHASE. Please PM me with any questions you may have.

^ Cus I bought it open box. So it is pretty much brand new and I can include the receipt if the buyer wants it.

I'm thinking about keeping it but it might be too soon. I'm looking to get a 5D Mark II in a few years and will make the switch then. I need the 1.6x for the lenses I have now. But believe me I'm thinking long and hard about just selling the 24-105mm and keep the body.

wait huh? wouldn't you rather keep the lens but sell the body? I'd rather havbe L glass on a crop body and save up for a MkII later.

I have the 24-70mm so I don't need the 24-105mm.

you're like me. 24-70 and 70-200 is all i need. Tested the 5D mark II last week for 4hrs (it was from a friend of mine). I have the 40D now and the 5D def is much better when you do zoom in really closely. Otherwise, the images are pretty much the same. 40D is a littler darker for some reason. Anyhow, I'm set with the 40D for now. If any, the next 5D may be a consideration again. 5D mark ii ain't worth the extra thousands.

Thanks man! Actually I ended up selling just the lens and kept the 5D body because I don't really need the video of the Mark II and don't want to spend like $1400 more for it...

For sure. I was going to get a 50D but decided to go with the 5D classic/mark I instead. I will probably pick up a 40D in the future for the faster FPS though. I also have the same lenses as you. That's all I really need as well (and the 50mm 1.8 but that doesn't really count).
