good luck with it mate, like you say car forums would put you off buying anything lol.
it looks a tidy example ,and at that price you can build in a few minor niggles. |

To the OP, firstly congratulations on living in/around the finest city on Earth; I'm near Fareham myself. As for the comments so far, I'm surprised so many are negative (you'd never know it was a forum for BMW enthusiasts!).
Look, sub £15k for a loaded 2007 335i is fantastic value, IMO. You're getting huge performance AND luxury - this car is a blast to drive, mine brightens my day every time I drive it. As for reliability, I wonder if any of us really know the true stats for this car in the UK. Take with a pinch of salt the forum "posts of doom" - they are not a fair sample. People like me with no issues to report are hardly going to bother posting, are they? I would love to see hard facts, rather than anecdotal hearsay. Finally - a good indy near Pompey? Where? I'd love to know 'cos apart from Birds near Heathrow, I cannot seem to find a garage I trust with my car. Enjoy the hunt! Mike. |

thanks for the positive comments Mike,I should hopefully be picking the car up on monday after i have checked everything out and examined the known issues (although the car has been looked after so i suspect all will be fine)
As for a local indy,i was told of somewhere local when i had my 535d,i will trawl through my old posts on bmwland and find out |

These are great cars, real hoot to drive, but must be manual IMO....no problems in mine yet !........3 months in & 5k miles, mileage now 42k, 07 plate, no probes with the 335d had before this one either.

Good find, looks great, am sure you will love the 335i. Make me sick knowing how much you have have agreed to pay for it, I only purchased mine 7 months ago, AUC and less miles, but paid a hell of a lot more than that, could have gone on a friggin' amazing holiday or 2 with the difference!
I think people "hope" there is something dodgy or broken with it to help defend the resale prices of their cars, not in a nasty way, but if a nice car goes for that price, other cars need to be reduced. I wish my car was worth what I paid for it 7 months ago, and I wonder what price I would get for it if i needed to sell, especially if you can pick up a nice car for less than £15K. If £15k cars could be classed as all having something wrong, then that helps keep values up, especially of AUC cars where premiums have been paid for warranty piece of mind. I'm not saying anyone has tried to do that on this post by the way, but I kind of feel it a little, the only person that likes a bargain or a great find is the person who benefits from it I guess!!! Enjoy |

I remember this car well. Went out in it many times. Drove very well in 2008. Only thing would put me off is the amount of changing hands. It's been to Spain which is
no issue. It certainly was a quick one as Will said.

well i collected the car today (previous owner could have cleaned it inside/outside) and the bodywork is in fabulous condition and it drives superbly, wheels need a refurb though but it is a very quick car once its on the move. The miltek exhausts sound very nice indeed but i am not sure about this Blaupunkt upgrade thingy,it's nowhere near as good quality as the Bose setup i had in the Audi but other than that and the fact that the passenger side cup holder has lost the front bit i am very pleased indeed with it
