go get a paid internship or something mechanically related that will gain you some real tangible experience. How are you going to look when you start work after college for a reputable company as an engineer and on your resume it shows top chef at "Georgetown Cupcakes"? While I understand a job is a job, and provides a source of income, if you were smart, which i'm sure you are being a ME major, i'd expect more. One last thing (as others have pointed out), Since your avatar says you drive a BMW 335i, if you are strapped for cash, need money for college tuition, what are you doing driving a BMW? Sell it, get a beater, use it to pay for tuition. Priorities Last edited by MDyDinanM; 12-10-2011 at 04:39 PM.. |

This is the off-topic If you've been a member here, you would know that most of the "advice" threads tend to flame the OP, jokes, and what not. |

I looked at the website, and a cupcake is $2.75. Lets make it $3.00 to be even. That means you would have to sell 10,000 cup cakes each day at 1 store. I highly doubt that, especially for the small staff per store. The store itself isn't that big, at all. And when you say profit, I hope you are taking away overhead/operating costs, salaries, etc. |

30k profit, 40-45k sales revenue.
@blayne, I know that seems like a lot, but if you saw the kitchen you'd probably think otherwise. There is a baking staff of about 20 and the kitchen is actually 24 hours. They spend about 4 hours cleaning every night, and then start baking again for the preorders. |
