the e92rear roundel has been a concern. Search for Picus' thread on "problem with e92 roundels" for details.

the grommets are re-usable if the car is new. On older cars the grommets crack over time.

Are the roundels for the 335i the same as other models? I was going to buy replacements on one site, and they said it will fit e90, but not 335i or convertible.

If you have read the first and second page, you would see that there is a problem with the roundels fitting on the trunk of the E92s.

The nylon idea is the best way. Dental floss was hard (for me) to get underneath the roundel. It doesn't even have to be nylon, just something thin that won't break or scratch your car (no metal). I used a small piece of window blind that I found in my garage. Took me all but ten seconds.

I got mine this afternoon...
The hood roundel, went out easy and the CF fitted perfectly. The Trunk Roundel was slightly harder to pull out, simply because of the double side tape used... Though the CF roundel, did fit in, but I would say 95% it is not the exact fit. but you will need to be picky to complain. Yet, remain to see when it rains if water will leak inside the badge and start dripping... The steering wheel, that was easy, I just stuck the CF on the top of the original one.. Emm.. I am not quite happy from the result; it looks a little thick, if you know what I mean... It was not just a sticker rather a CF steering wheel roundel... I am not quite sure if I will try to pull out the original one... Emm... Last edited by Bimmer /E93; 08-08-2009 at 08:53 AM.. |

Does anyone know what to do if the plastic pieces happen to snap? Both of the plastic tabs broke while I was trying to loosen them and are stuck inside the hood.
Any ideas? |

i went from top to bottom though when i pulled it off since the pins behind are on the left and right. someone had used a little silicone to the back of the roundel to keep it in place so a good tug was needed to pull it off. |

wow ... all of the credit card and nylon talk ...
pop the hood, look directly behind the release lever. see the small hole ? see the plastic nipple in there ? that is the peg from the roundel. push it with a screw driver. that will be the peg on the right side of the roundel. now just grab hold of the roundel and pull it off. takes about 15 seconds and no possible way to scratch the paint. |
