Call Waiting

I have asked this question back, but now I ask the same to the new BMW owners 09-up with Bluetooth handfree

Does call waiting work in the newer models.?
When you are on call via bmw handfree and next call comes in, do you see the next caller ID? Is there an option to answer it or reject?

I drove a 2010 bmw 328i on the weekend and it did not work.., same issue as my 2007.
I have tried different phs(Iphone2G/3G, Razr2, V3i), still no luck.

I ask the questions you're afraid to ask.

It works on my 2009 E90xi with iDrive and my office BB 8830. It didn't work with my Palm 700wx.

We just got new BB Tours in the office - I'll tell you tomorrow if it works with a Tour - hell, I'll let you know if the Tour even pairs.

Caller ID for the waiting caller doesn't show up on my 06. But I was able to pickup the waiting call by pressing End. I did it by accident though. I was about to end a call by pressing the End button, but a new call came in just before I pressed it.

In my 07 I have to use the handset for Caller ID and to use Send to pick up Call Waiting.

This has been true for my Tour, my Pearl, and my old work Nokia E61i.

Yes I am able to pick up call waiting call but I would have to drop the first caller, which suxs!! AND I have no idea who the second caller is until after swtiching over, I like to know in advance

Yes if I used the ph..I can answer with dropping the caller ...but if ph is in the jacket & back seat...it's hard to look while driving..

Damn BMW should support call waiting via I-Drive...even though I noticed it work once few years back when my cousin paired his moto CDMA ph but i have tried several ph since and no luck.

If BMW did it for ONE phone, BMW supports it.

I think it's handset makers who don't support it... I can tell you that Parrot HF kits work the same way. If I hit Send on them while getting an incoming call, it switches the call to the handset - you HAVE to hit Send on the handset itself.
