transmission gasket leak

Wanted to know how many of you have mechatronic sleeve and transmission gasket replaced and at what mileage. Thanks.
Mine needs replacement at 117k (08 e90 335xi)
Is this such a common problem that BMW will help out?

Just spoken with bmw customer service today. They acknowledge it's a common issue but won't cover it because of my car's mileage and it's not common enough (unlike hpfp). Hopefully it will last awhile after replacement.

Mine's leaking at 65k (07 e90 335i) but so slowly I'm not worried about it. Fairly common from my research.

straightforward replacement? As far as I can tell, the subframe doesn't need to come out for transmission access.

Nope. Just 2 plastic covers, the AT pan/filter and the exhaust braket. Removing the trans mount is not necessary but it makes it more easier, especially taking the mechatronic sleeve in n out.
I replaced mines couple weeks ago and I also replaced the fluid and the pan. The magnets on the pan were covered with a very thick paste and the fluid was very dark. This was done at around 42k miles
