With the Pure Stage 2 on the way, what do I have to worry about breaking first

I just took the plunge and finally ordered a pure stage 2 along with inlet pipe and dv. For the most part, I'll be running on pump gas and won't be launching the car or anything like that but I am curious as to what the weak spot is on these things. Especially the xDrive. I took it to the track last summer and launched it a couple of times, which didn't seem to hurt it but I would be much more hesitant to do that with an upgraded turbo because I feel like I would leave my torque converter behind. Everyone says that the AT's in these things can handle the power but up to what point? Are there any known weak parts of the awd system?

Thanks!

If you aren't launching hard you should be okay. Especially on pump gas.

but what about those times I want to, let's say at the track? What is most likely to break on these cars in that scenario?

Axles and half-shafts are weak link on Xi's launching at high power levels.

if the car suspension is preloaded when you launch, a few hard launches shouldn't hurt it, im up over 60+ 2800 rpm 4 psi launches all from 1.67-1.75 60' and I have yet to break anything. completely stock drive line running low 11's. and in my opinion, if your only running pump gas, I don't think those turbos will spool fast enough for you to break anything unless you are running anti lag. the thing you have to watch out for is wheel hop, if you start doing awd wheel hop, then your going to want to be weary.
try to avoid harsh down shifts when daily driving, if your going to beat it roll on the throttle rather then snapping it down a gear, stuff like that all has an effect. but in my opinion, you will be fine!

Thanks, that's very helpful. When I was at the track last time, I was mostly worried about the torque converter. I revved the car up to about 4k and then sidestepped the break. Tires didn't actually break loose and the car moved off the line like a bat out of hell. I think I got a 1.7 60 ft time. Definitely felt like the torque converter was getting all the abuse though. How to those hold up?

What do you mean about preloaded suspension?

the diff....definitely the diff. already watched a friend do it. n54 XI 606awhp....he moved about an inch.

axels remained intact. diff blew. no upgrade and he's gone bigger now. same problem exists....gotta easy into it.

If you haven't changed your ATF yet, its not a bad idea to at least start with a relatively good AT first. Its not going to hurt and you want to ensure your fluid is in good condition so it doesn't lead you down the wrong path when things start going south. I'd also replace the O-rings of the valves too while your in there. Its going to totally refresh your box to "like new" shifting condition.

I'm at 50K miles and right behind you in my 2011, 335 project.

The mechanical's of the AT are relatively strong from what little info there is. Front diff is glass and in desperate need of reliable upgrade which does not currently exist. I would not treat your car like I did my STI and floor it around 90deg turns in 1st/2nd to get the car to slide (despite how awesomely fun it may sound or be). That is very tough on the front diff.

Rear axels are also weak, but when they break, they are saving the tranny. Almost all manufacturers have them designed to fail first (basically the fuse of the tranny). Once you upgrade those, you need to start looking into Ford 6R80 upgrades
