Factory Radio Upgrade

I have the basic factory radio in my 2007 E90 Sedan. I already have a Kenwood 5 channel Amp, and 12" Infinity sub. I want to install them with a JL Audio clean sweep, 4 channels on the door speakers and 1 channel on the sub. What do I do about the factory subs, use them with stock amp, add an aftermarket amp, or disconnect? Also if I use a Kenwood KOS-A300 and connect an Ipod will I be able to see the artist, title, etc on the factory screen or do I have to mount the KOS screen (i don't want aftermarket acessories visable).

Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi there,
if I were you I would try them as passive woofers, in a 3 way set-up with the mids and tweeters in front doors, or with a coaxial in the front doors.
I would go with a 120hz - 150hz crossover point.
Give them a shot, if they don't satisfy your needs, you can swap them with some nice hertz shallow mount woofers.
