Nissan Micra Windscreen Wiper Grommet?

Way off-topic, but.... my daughter and wife share the use of a Nissan Micra, and today the wipers stopped working. NIssan garage say it's just a missing grommet, but they have to order the whole wiper system, costing £100 for the part, and £60 for labour.

Anybody know anywhere (preferably near Manchester/Stockport) where I might get this sorted cheaper?

Have a look on ebay or at a breakers and see if you can pick up the part cheap. If you can have a go at replacing it yourself or if not take it into a local mechanic and see what he will charge you.

Are you sure it's not just a blown fuse?

No, I'm not. I haven't even spoken properly to my wife yet, so I don't know where she took the car, but I think it was the local Nissan garage - they gave her a printout with the part diagram on it.

I wouldnt take their word for it then, probably a typical garage taking advantage of a woman.
