You've got some balls, man! I dig those wheels! I usually fall into the "conservative" camp, but I think it's awesome to see people doing their own thing. I think switching from Audi and just jumping straight into modding kept the forum's consensus of acceptable mods from getting to you. Which is more than I can say for myself...I was creepin on this forum years before I got my first 3er.
I am still rocking the non-sport wheel and had kinda gotten over how much I hate it until I saw your swap. But I'm cooling it on the mods on my 328 in the hopes of stepping into a 335 or m3 at some point. Keep up the good work!

How do you like the feel of the performance shift knob? I'm kinda torn between those and Zhp ones, I had the zhp's on my e46 and love them but just wanted to try the perf. Ones out.

I did a bunch of stuff to the car this weekend before the first Cars & Coffee in my area. Very little details but they made a big difference.
Gave it about a 4 hour detail inside and out. I needed to get a couple things to make my life easier. I got a super low pro aluminum jack so I didn't have to borrow a friends everytime I needed to work on my car and a nice little stool on wheels with a tool tray under it to save on my back. Next for some reason the cap that is on the top of my front passenger coilover gets loose after a while causing a nasty clunk. Took me while and a couple trips to the hardware store but I finally got it really tight. No more clunko ;D Then I went back to black. Matte black. Way better. My dad talked me into it. The cream ones were fun for a while but they need to be black. The hubs were a real eye sore, they were nasty, rusty and corroded looking so I cleaned them up and painted them. Clean. I also decided that since I was taking all of my wheels off I would give them a good cleaning. The barrels show much much dirt being such a light color. My rear was not low enough for me. The front was much lower and it was bothering me. It took me a while how to figure out how to do it because the threaded piece would spin with the adjuster when you tried to spin it up. I finally figured out how to beat it and got them to go all the way down. I'd still like a little lower but I am much happier. I also installed my fog light bulbs finally. The color doesn't match 100% but its pretty close and much better looking than the stock ones. Added some flavor. Haters hate. The final product at Cars & Coffee. Photos by Chris Batson.

hey dude! just needed to stop in to say hayyyy from a fellow FTWLTBDWICTW originator. It's kinda funny how similar our situations are... both coming from brilliant red b7s to e90 335's! We must have great taste or something.
Anyways; car looks great mang. Nice with the X5s... when I came here I was surprised I didn't see those wheels all over the place! Compliments the car beautifully. Keep on keepin' on my brutha.

Well I'm rolling my winters for about a week, I ended up selling the X5 wheels. I love wheels.
In other news my buddy got done editing one of the photos he took a few weeks back. I'm so stoked on this picture. He's working on another one that should be done soon too. Photo:Chris Ruona
