BMW E92 headlamp washer jet operation-help

Hi All
I don't know if you can help with this. My car has recently been repaired from some light front damage.

On return of the car I checked the headlamp washer operation. I was told by BMW they should squirt the headlamps every 6-8 times the windscreen washers are operated. Instead they operate and clean the headlamps on the first operation of the windscreen washers with the headlamps on, but don't seem to repeat after a set period of time or after 6 or 8 of occurrences of windscreen operation......

Can anyone help???

Thanks

James

Yes, if the lights are on & it's the 1st time you used the windscreen washers - the headlight washers will go off!

No issue with yours

Thanks Jammy, will they not repeat "squirt" after 6 or 8 instances of windscreen squirts?

Thanks

I think no matter how many times you operate the screen washer, there is a time limit on the headlamp washers. I think it's about 20 mins. It's a good job too. Have you seen how much fluid is used by the headlamp washers?!?! You would be filling the bottle every evening!
I had mine stripped out yesterday to try and resolve the "washer jet sticking up" issue. I used a separate container to run some cleaning fluid through and I was amazed how quick it drains!
