Blue Angel Eyes for Pre-LCI E90?

Hello,

I have an '06 Pre-LCI 330i sedan with Xenon and adaptive headlights. I would really like to upgrade the angel eyes from the ugly yellow/amber to a blue around 12000K like can be seen in the following photo from LUX (scroll down; blue is at the bottom right):

LUX offers an adjustable kit with this option as pictured (H8 V4) but it only fits LCI E90 models. I'm looking for this similar blue color but for a pre-LCI car.

Any direction would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Dustin

Currently there are no adjustable products for the pre-lci sedans. the angel eye compartment is too small for the electronics needed.

Thank you for the quick response and information. Are there any non-adjustable upgrades available with the 12000K color rating? I am REALLY fond of the blue.

Judge, I can help find you something. Like LUX said, there isn't anything adjustable for the E90 Pre-LCI. AFAIK, LUX is the only one who makes color-adjustable PnP AE's (ignoring the RGB LED replacement rings) for any vehicle.

How much blue are you looking for? If you want "illegal police-LED blue", which would be well...illegal...I could link you to a pair. But I don't know if there are any off the shelf 12000k LED AE's for your car.

Thanks for the help! I'd be interested in as blue as I can get within legality. I don't want to cause any trouble, just enjoy an LED so ultra-white that it looks blue, like the 12Ks.

There are no good LED's that come in a 12,000k color by default. Most of them top out at around 7000k or 8000K as theres not much of a market for cooler ones. Sometimes you can find these cool ones but its difficult.

So I'm out of luck then?

Lux,
Would it be possible for me to order your adjustable kit, and then set it to 12000K permanently so I don't need the extra electronics for the adjustability?

If you do (unless LUX is making you a CUSTOM E90 Pre-LCI solution) the H8 V4.0's will not work in your car. You need the LUX V5.2 for E90/91 Pre-LCI's.

I do not want to divulge the details without LUX's permission, but something has been worked out.

12 looks blue in the pictures, could it be the camera modulating the color?

No

5000k is oem xenon colour which has a fair tint of blue to it

6000k is rather blue

Anything above 6000k starts to look very very blue

12000k in real life will be purple

Thank you for that. Frankly as long as it doesn't inhibit my vision of what's in front of me, I don't mind the violet.

If anyone has the H8 V4 and wouldn't mind turning it up to 12, I'd love to see some examples. I'd be very appreciative so I can work with LUX to fit my needs.
