My dealer offered to do a transmission fluid swap and pan swap for $550..

I'm wondering whether or not I should do it. On one hand I do feel my tranny jerking a bit when moving slowly (possibly because of the torque converter), but I still know it would be more smooth if I did the swap. anyone here did it with good results?

How many miles on the car? Perhaps a little more details of your situation can help us justify if you need this done?

Thats right, it has 77k miles and I'm running stage 2+FMIC on cobb. I feel sometimes a jump from the torque converter when travelling at a light throttle..

Probably won't fix any pre-existing issues, but I'd definitely recommend changing the fluid and pan (and mechatronics sleeve) at your mileage. Like they told you, the filter is built into the pan. See if you can get them to clear the EGS adaptation values after the repair. Sometimes can make a big difference -- at least temporarily.

My 2008 335 has the similiar issue jerk between 1 and 2 gear. I just changed the pan , sleeve and drop and drain 2 twice with Pantosin ATF1. About 10L total. The issue is completely gone the car never runs that smooth. Total cost is about 300 bucks plus 4 hours weekend time. The old oil is black and dirty. Also the level is low because of the sleeve leaks. That is common problem for 2007 2008 E9x. Better check.
If dealer will do the same thing that price is good. Be careful some dealer will reuse the old oil and only one time drop. Also they will not change the leaking sleeve unless you ask them then tthey will charge you another 300 buccks.
Better to clarify before you got ripped.
