Chrome exhaust pipe cleaning question

I haven't washed it for awhile, at least for 2~3 months(whole winter).
I usually wash it while Im getting car washes, but I skipped this process for awhile.

I was wondering which solution would work the best to remove all the damn stuff stuck/melted down on the exhaust pipe?

My chrome exhaust pipe looks more like a dull-black chrome exhaust pipe.

1st spray with simple green when your car is warm (the exhaust tip)
then rub & clean with a brush then use a regular car wash solution....

After your are done washing the rest of the car, hit it with a Mother's Chrome Polish & nothing will stick to it again

You want to treat it like paint. YOU WANT TO SEAL IT polishing it.

I use a 0000 steel wool with a polish then seal.

I have had good luck with steel wool as well--use your cleaning solution of choice, then sealing is the best way to keep residue from sticking onto the pipes.

The Mothers polish is good for that "pop" shine as well....
