CC ID 378 + 379 - nothing fixing it

A friend with some custom rings installed into his angel eyes similar to OSS rings is getting a CC ID 378 and 379

Side Lights / Daytime Light Defective
2007 e92 335i - 06 early build

Tried the following:
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_L
KALTUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_L
FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_L
WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V_R

Did L+R for both and no results so far. All lights working fine.

Also turn off the error reporting lines (CC_meld... or something similar, can look right now at work)

Want to send me your notepad file?

I managed to fix the issue for the person OP was trying to fix it for, I can look at your file and see which values might work and I wont edit them, but I can send you a list maybe of what to try.

PM me a link to your file.

I ended up fixing it for the person mentioned in the first post, but I can't recall exactly what I did.

I'll take a peek at yours and see if I find anything that rings a bell.

There are two bulbs in each brake light, take a closer look, a bulb might be out.
For brake errors you also need to disable BFD.

I can't recall what I did unfortunately, but I did manage to get rid of them after a lot of messing around. I know this is a useless post, but at least you know with enough messing around you can get rid of them.

Try fiddling with all the values related to the angel eyes.

Thanks, I will try it. I have lux AE's and removed my door panel yesterday to install a new door pull because the old one was peeling. Now I have this 378 code. I guess I should have disconnected the battery first??? It seems so odd.

I deactivated all the FEHLERMELDUNG lines related to lights. I got tired of trial and error. Error free afterwards.

Hi guys,

I'm getting this error 379 now too. How are you getting the notepad files off your cars? Is it sofware and an OBD II dongle connected to a laptop? I'm trying to find something like this as I had it for my last 2 cars.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=451145 please read this first.
If you didn't change anything (eg replacing halogen bulbs with led) and start getting 378/379 error you might need to check your bulbs or take car for service (may be short circuit). If you know your risks and want to permanently turn off bulb check, then coding is what you want.

OK I've got my DRL working now CC ID 379.
since the dark days are here I wanted them to work asap and didnt have the time to buy the cable (around £45?) and take time off work to reprogramme my car.

I took my car to a garage in birmingham to get the error reset. I paid £30 and literally took 5 minutes, the technician also removed a sh*t load of other errors my car logged over the years, pretty much every light in the car had logged an error.

Oh yeah, it turned out the reason I got this error was because I had a short circuit, and I know why. I was stupid enough to buy some cheap H8 lights from ebay which said they were going to be just as good at the £60 variety. The wires inside these crappy bulbs must have got loose and touched hence the car stopped sending power to that socket. I've since bought the £60 'expensive' option and I'l gladly pay double that, my black E93 M Sport convertible looks so pretty.

FYI the garage I used was MAJ Diagnostics in Birmingham, he's a really friendly geeza and one of the most honest mechanics I've come across in a while. If your having similar problems I'll recommend asking him, details are Unit 15/Nechells Pl, Birmingham B7 5AR
