Corvette ZR-1

So I have a chance to put some money down on a 09' ZR1. Dealership has one pre-sold and says they will get one more. No build date yet.

But my question is this. If things did not go as planned, would I be able to sell my spot? Seeing how this could be a serious collectors car and all.

What do you all think?

Thanks in advance.

go for it, the ZR1 will be the car to have in 2009. Someone will buy the spot if you don't want it.

Finding out from one of my employees tomorrow what it will take to get it on order. His Mom works at the Chev. dealership.

Sort of exciting. One up my pops and his 02' Z06. Although he is trying to find out what dealership. Makes me wonder if he is trying to be sly and snake it from me.

Will keep you all posted.

Most dealerships these days will not allow you to transfer a wait-list position to another person. So I would make sure any deposit is 100% refundable and get it in writing if you think there is any chance you will NOT be taking the car up on arrival.

Thank you for the tip. Going to go talk to the guy next week about it. Will make sure though if something happened that the deposit is refundable. Or, I take it and flip it. Either way, I doubt I will loose any money on it.

Sometimes life happens. That is all I am saying. I have never purchased something like this and had to wait for a year.

One never knows.

Not even sure on the final sticker price. If they tell me when I go in, I will post it here.
