M3 replica mirrors....
Hey guys, I just orderd these m3 replica mirrors from cargym, but after I ordered them I read some bad reviews of the company (products never arriving etc), has anyone here ordered from cargym before? Also is there anywhere else that sells, e90, m3 replica mirrors?

Good luck to ya with all the aftermarket 'replica' M3 mirrors
They all require that you cannibolize the OEM mirror motors from your original mirrors and cut/splice the wiring back together to use in the new mirrors. If that's what has to be done to save some $$ over OEM - then I'm not having any of it, and I'll stick with the mirrors that came on my car - or wait till a used set of OEM M3 mirrors come up for sale on the forum. These asian companies treat aftermarket BMW parts as if you were working on a Honda Accord...

The way I look at it is this: a mirror housing can very easily be replicated by an asian company, they can simply make a mold from the original that should be identical, so that's why I chose to buy the repica housing, because OEM cost around $2,000 and it's just a mirror housing, it's not a complex component here, as far as the assembly is concerned; I'm paying a professional body shop to do that for me so that is not a concern... |
