LTMW splitter and very easy to install. A few nut and bolt will do the job

Yea just read through your posts and seems like OEM bolts didn't work and you also said you scratched up your finish? I'm planning to cover all the edges with double sided tape and some longer screws were also included with the lip. Any install tips before I tackle it this weekend, especially how not to scratch the paint on the bumper

Probably your best bet is to use blue tape for the test fitment. Double side tape wouldn't hold mines as the lip wasn't fully flushed on my bumper and the edges are a bit longer so we had to trim a little material off. It fits better now but it also scratched the edges by the foglight a little. My shop will repaint and reinstall my lips at no cost whenever I'm ready. We also drilled 3 extra holes on the bumper attached to both lips to insure a solid fitment.

BTW, did you figure out how to install the middle liner extension part?

Oh ok thanks. Nope I brought it to my shop with the adaptors and let them figure it out. They wound up using no adaptors and just drilling holes to match up with the belly pan I believe. My belly pan already reached all the way to the bumper so Just needed the holes relocated a little bit

So far no date yet as far as I know but i'd imagine close to the one at birdies and towards the end of April/beginning of May. Hopefully not the same day...

Well I tried to install the lip today and gave up pissed. I painted the screws to know where to drill and did that along with having tape applied to the edge of the lip. I also sanded the inside of the lip to get rid of all the rough edges and prevent scratching. When I went to mount it I would get one side on then when I went to stick the other side it would pop. Wound up giving up and now i'm thinking about just giving it to my shop to do. Anyone think its worth it to give it a second try and if so any tips on how you did it? @Wei718 @project335i ?

I totally understand what you are saying! Double side tape does nothing as you get one end on then the other pops right out.

Since I have a splitter underneath my lip I had to drill 3 additional holes through the splitter and lip to the bumper supporting it with nut's, washers and bolts due to it being heavier. That itself did secured the lip nicely but I find that using the tape won't work in my case.

Isn't your lip pre drilled? Also, I figured out how to mount the under tray. You just stick the new tray under your existing one right in the middle and in front then you use 3 of the oem 8mm bolts to secure it and you can use rivets or self tapping screws to secure the rest. I'm sure you see the little holes all over.

Nope the lip wasn't predrilled... Yea I have no idea how to get it on and don't want it glued since i'd like it to be reversible... Also that sorta makes sense maybe i'll go look. My tray was long enough to touch the bumper though so we just drilled holes where the holes in the oem tray were and they worked fine. Maybe I should install the adapter though?

Edit: I would just do the drilling extra holes like you're talking about but I want the lip flush against the bumper which I thought the tape would do

Yeah, this lip isn't perfect as it may seem and does have some fitment issues. You can actually use some silicone that's safe on paint and flexible enough to remove. Even now, my edges aren't 100% flushed with the bumper and no matter how much i try it still won't fit. It needs more trimming.

Since you've already drilled holes on your oem undertray don't install the adapter as all it is, is the holes offsetting a little over to accept the M Tech bumper.

Yea I think i'll just let me shop give it a go. They drilled holes in the bumper to match up with the oem spots of the undertray not the other way around. Seems like it has worked pretty well

I had to drill underneath and on the front of the lip as with downforce the edges of the lip were gouging the paint on my bumper as it moved up and down. I used black plastic bolts to attach to the front of the bumper, metal rusted quickly.

Won't be a bad idea.

Yeah, just leave the adapter. Really no point on installing that now.

+1

I had to drill 3 to fully secure it.
