Engagement ring insurance - advice please
Hi All,
I need to get my fiancée's engagement ring insured.. Was thinking of going under contents insurance however she doesn't live with me. Any recommended insurers out there that you guys have used? Also, I got it made in India and because I paid cash I didn't get a proper formal receipt (please don't shoot me.. he's a very trust worthy jeweller who our family have used for years!) so I guess I'll have to get it valued properly - again, any recommendations? Many thanks Suraj |

You need to get an official valuation - where you get a certificate. It doesn't matter if you have a receipt, as the valuation with give you a figure of it worth.
Then just add it to your contents insurance - in & out of the home! |

Id suggest specialist cover. Look into TH March, a well known insurer. This covers travel abroad too, so no worries when you are on honeymoon. Get the cover for her residence now and switch it to yours when she moves in with you. As said, i believe they only want to see the certificate, so just get it checked over and valued by a local jeweller.
