Hey Folks,

Long story short, I just got back from being based in Kuwait and I brought back the '07 335i I picked up while I was there. It was originally a US market car, so it shouldn't be too hard to get it registered. But the previous owner installed an AFE intake on it and I didn't get the original air box. From what I understand, I probably can't pass the visual part of the California smog check as is.

So I'm wondering if there's anyone in the Stockton area that would be willing to loan or sell their stock air box. I plan to just install it for the smog check and then take it right back off and put the AFE back on. Any help greatly appreciated.

You should find a smog shop that doesnt really care about the visual part. I know most smog shops I go to in SoCal don't care.

Yeah, I know that'd be the easiest route. I just don't have any good intel on one. If anybody knows a good smog shop in the Sac / Stockton area, let me know.

Wow Nation. Thank you very much for that kind offer. I'm currently working in Singapore, so I haven't registered the car yet. But I plan on coming home in a few months and will smog and register it then if I can. I'll PM you then if I still need help. I really appreciate it. Great community here!
