Red F30 Spotted!

Hi there, doing the school run this week and spotted red F30 in traffic on Lane Cove Road heading towards Top Ryde.

Car looks more 3-Series sized than I expected.

It looks like nothing special in red; car does look like a scaled down 5-Series. It'll be a pretty car in the right colour; looks more delicate than the E90.

I found myself peering at the front lights to figure out whether or not my brain was right thinking it might be an F30. Headlight style far less obvious in RL than in the press pics.

I am sure it will grow on me by the time I'll be looking for my next car in 4 years or so.

I *still* can't wait to try the 8AT (even though I drive 6MT now).

Don't get it, these are totally different articles.

The first article is a rendered shot of what the f30 may look like back in May 2011 (look at article posted date).

The second is an actual f30 being pimped out by LTBMW. Looking good I must say!

I was just responding to the OP and his dislike of the red F30, so showed a couple of pics on what they look like.

Red might look good in stylised studio shots but in RL, surrounded by white Camrys, red Flacons and white vans the red F30 looks like nothing very special.

My initial impression of styling is they go hard and soft every generation. So to say the new f30 is soft/rounded, e90 more hard/angular, before that rounded, angular etc

I am not a fan of red either. All my BM's have been either navy blue (first two) and last three black.
