Just read some of this thread and Have just recently got myself an E90 and I thought this forum would be a good place to start. I have seen adverts for Big loads of times on all the popular websites and some of the stuff looked quite tempting. Just glad I never followed through on the temptation.....

sales chap comes on phone hi blah blah i asked simply is car still available and his reply was

"yes, right so wat time are you coming down!!, bang straight into the hard salesman pitch, which set alarm bells ringing straight away, as i was previously in sales if your reading this BIGmw, sometimes a little tact and politeness goes a very far way and you might have got my 20+k sale

due to his response and arrogance i decided to google big motoring world reviews and found this little beauty of a site and thread so a very BIG thanks to all that have contributed to this u have no doubtedly saved me alot of hassle

Take a look at the Classifieds section in this forum (from the top page).
Some great cars, well known owners, and lots of real traceable history in the offering.
Hello to all our new visitors

Just wanted to chip in my 2p worth - when I was looking for a replacement for my lease car and breaking into the world of private ownership *gasp*, I researched a lot and found Big Motoring World. As part of a mammoth tour round the South East, I went to these people because they advertised both 330d and 335d for sale.... rare cars indeed and of course when I eventually got round the M25 and turned up..... they hadn't got any.

The sales staff pretty much ignored me until I eventually got someone to show interest and then instantly regretted it. As has been said before on this thread, straight out of the Del Boy Trotter School of Sales. I managed to extricate myself and went to Cargiant which at least gave me a choice of cars, reasonable service and only a bit of pressure to take up their finance and dodgy AA warranty -(:0)

I am, after all that, a very happy owner of an 07 plate 335d which is one of the best cars I've driven for a long time (now I've replaced the run flat tyres...)

Don't bother to waste time going here when you've got the choice of Cargiant or similar, or local dealers if you're bothered about warranty and a bit of service

Talking Happy Easter Bigsy!

Bigsy, long time no speak.

Apologies for not maintaining contact with you over the last year or so. It's been a busy time, probably more for me than you, based on comments on here & the effects they could be having on your company's sales. It has been a difficult time for all of us over the last couple of years. It got to the point where even Ed has had to cut down on his food intake. He took up Anorexia nervosa. I told him he couldn't just decide to do that, but he told me Carl & Will betted he couldn't do it, so he decided to show them. Unfortunately, he lost the bet after 3 hours, when he was caught munching simultaneously on 4 of Tony's 24oz 'diet' burgers. Consequently, Tony's restaurant now seems to have hit a shortage of fresh beef deliveries & Ed has put on 2 stone 4lbs.
So, I hope we can try to improve customer confidence in "Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4".

It's nice to see the new members springing up on here from time to time, all wanting to post on this thread straight away. It's funny how they try to 'slate' your company initially, trying to gain some confidence with the 'old boys' on here, then trying to 'big you up', Bigsy.
I was at a comedy night a couple of months ago & the comedians were quite good, but I reckon your family, friends & staff could do a lot better. They've made me chuckle many times, but it's a shame they don't keep posting for longer, so we can become friends with them. Will & Ed made the suggestion of forming the comedy trio, 'The Chuckle Buggers', over a drunken Christmas party last year, consisting of the three of you, Bigsy. I told them you were far above that sort of thing, but they wouldn't let it rest. I told them that their jokes were complete & utter cr*p & I laugh more when Carlos loses the keys on his laptop keyboard. I think they felt a bit gutted when I said that, because they both then started crying in front of me, in front of another 30 guests in the restaurant. A quick slap of their faces & they were back to their abnormal selves in no time. The other diners wanted us all to carry on with the act. Not wanting to disappoint them, after a good 3 minutes of punching & slapping various parts of their bodies, I think we left the restaurant with £21 in Pound coins, €11, $6, 3 VIP invites to Spearmint Rhino & an invitation to take part in a comedy night at the 99Club, Leicester Square.
However, if you are up for a bit of comedy improvisation, just get in touch with them at edandwill@weknowsweetfaaboutcomedybu...owandagain.com.

I was thinking for a good long 17 seconds yesterday about the events which will be occurring this year & how the E90Post UK forum members could really try & become friends with Big Motoring World, where you can "pick up used BMW X5 Series at Big Motoring World Kent as well as used BMW 1 Series at Big Motoring World Kent". As we've been a little 'shy' with each other over the last year or so, I thought we could discuss these thoughts of mine, Bigsy.

I'm not sure if anyone's told you, Bigsy, but there's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee taking place this year, as well as the London Olympics. If we can put our heads together, we could come up with something to promote & celebrate the beauty that is the "Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4" & E90Post UK forum relationship. What do you say, Bigsy? Will had the idea of knocking together more than just our heads, but it just sounded painfully disgusting, so I decided to ignore his suggestion, for now.

For one thing, the forum consists of enough people in places that count. With Tony's knowledge & the backhanders that he's owed, Carl's dad's wonga & Will & Ed's combined abusive abilities, it's conceivable that the route of the Olympic Flame could be 'modified' to pass further east, towards "Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4" & it could then continue westwards along London Road, to it's original stop at Borough Green. If we can sort this out now, Bigsy, can you imagine the trade you're going to end up with?

Name: map1.jpg
Views: 1123
Size: 154.3 KB

The Diamond Jubilee is also an event which could push your company further still. An interview with Her Majesty outside a place where you can "pick up used BMW X5 Series at Big Motoring World Kent as well as used BMW 1 Series at Big Motoring World Kent", with the BBC, Sky & CNN filming would be enough to rocket you way over the likes of Sytner. With a well-organised street party located on your doorstep, you could be looking at the biggest 'big time' of all, Bigsy.

Name: torch.jpg
Views: 1124
Size: 86.8 KB

Now, we both know how difficult it can be to organise a really good street party, but the forum is exceedingly lucky to have a whole load of members with the required skills. Take James, for example. He & Heston Blumenthal (some celebrity chef) are so close, you couldn't slide a straw between their lips. I reckon Jimbo could provide one of Heston's 'Diamond Jubilations' for the party. No problem there.
As for Tony, well, it goes without saying that he is the master chef of the forum. With an hour's notice, he has the ability to knock up a 24-course meal for several dozen people.
Carl's a funny boy. His stories are enough to keep you in stitches for a long time. Ed was once laughing at one of Carl's apparent jokes for so long, he did end up being taken to the hospital for stitches. We later found out that it wasn't a joke at all, but something that did actually happen to Carl once, well, a few times really.
Will's skills go without saying, but I'll tell you anyway. He's able to bend spoons, apparently, but I've never actually seen him do that. Others tell me he's more skilled at spooning benders, but I don't want to go there. He's also a very reliable individual. I once asked him to stop posting 'man train' icons on the forum & I'm happy to say he did as I asked. Unfortunately, he's now posting far more disturbing high resolution photos & HD videos. Such is life.
Ed's abilities are known to most restaurant owners around southern England. As far as I know, the vast majority of 'eat as much as you like' establishments around West London are now out of business, simply as a result of one visit from Ed. He's just a big softie, really.

The final event which I wanted to discuss with you Bigsy, is the Diamond Jubilee Concert. I'm sure it'll be a great event, but whats's stopping us creating our own concert? With the collective contributions of both of our members, we could potentially create 'OlympiDiamondJubilation'. I've got a big smile on my face just thinking about it, Bigsy. You must be drooling over it, no?
Buckingham Palace may well have Shirley Bassey, Alfie Boe, Jools Holland, Jessie J, JLS, Elton John, Tom Jones, Lang Lang, Annie Lennox, Madness, Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Cliff Richard, Ed Sheeran and Stevie Wonder in front of it on June 4th. But what's that, when you've got Ed & Will plucking their banjos, Tony strumming on his bass, Carl knocking the drums to death & Steve A pretending he's a p*ssed up Ian Brown. No contest, surely.

Anyway, I've got Easter eggs & stuff to eat this weekend, so I'm going to leave you to think about my thoughts, Bigsy. Please think about my propositions carefully, because we could make this really big, as Will once said to Ed with a piece of sandpaper in his hand. With a good plan, we could be laughing, as are most of the forum members already, I'm sure.

Happy Easter Bigsy & please pass on the E90Post forum's best wishes to the rest of the boys & girls in your "Big Motoring World Group, selling Second hand used BMWs, for sale in Kent, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3 M3 Z3 Z4" office, posting on here & pretending to be some of your 'happy' customers.

Also, we need to celebrate hitting over 140,000 views of this thread now. You must be very pleased, Bigsy.

Even though the thread is still at the top of a Google search for 'Big Motoring World reviews', it's still worth it.

Hi Kev. Bigsy's doing a great job, but there's still room for improvement, so I can't see how he can turn down the proposed route change for the Olympic Flame & the 'OlympiDiamondJubilation' concert proposal.

Wow, if I had only seen this thread before I bought my 07' 335i from these guys I would have been £1,500+ richer.

So almost a year ago this month I bought my beautiful sapphire black 335i from these cowboys. To be honest, the sales experience was pleasant - I can't complain about that. However it was the 'after-sales' experience that really f@"cked me off. Just to give you a bit of background I was 20 years old at the time and I wasn't the wisest.

So I picked the car up after it had its "insert large number here" check. Apparently the problem I reported with rear bump steer was rectified, on the drive home I instantly picked up on it again. Phoned them and the response was "sorry you're going to have to go through the warranty company for this" even though I had only just picked the car up an hour ago!! It just so happens I have a friend with a mechanic as a dad and took it to him, he was nice enough to perform a tracking alignment for me free-of-charge this cleared the problem straight away (Why couldn't the South East's largest independent BMW specialist rectify this?)

I had 7 months of trouble free motoring and then my clutch went. To save you all time, basically there was still 15-20% of life on the clutch when it failed and a piece had actually broken from the clutch plate so this was definitely not wear and tear. I phoned the warranty company first of all and the response, as you can guess, "sorry, no". So I went to Big Motoring World who advised me that there was no one around that day to help with me problem but I would "definitely" get a call the next day. Next day, no call. I phoned them the day after and went through about 4/5 people before speaking to the service manager "Bob". Bob sounded decent but was a real cock and did not want to help me with the £600 warranty he sold me 7 months earlier. So, I had to pay for the clutch myself as I could not be without a car, further phone calls to the warranty and BMW world went a miss.

A month later my o2 sensors went, both of them. Again the warranty company had a fit to learn that one of their clients wanted to make a claim on the warranty, how preposterous! They only ended up paying half of the cost to replace and fit new sensors. Again Big Motoring World, the South East's largest independent retailer, did not want to hear about this at all.

I am seriously considering legal action against these guys and would warn any potential BMW buyer to ward off these guys. Olympic Warranties too, don't go near them!

i walked past a 7 series the other day with big motoring world written on the number plate at the bottom of the reg. I couldnt help but chuckle to myself. I'm so glad i didnt go near this place when i was looking for a car.

I cannot believe BMW have not got onto these guys about there business practices. I know there not linked but still if I was BMW i'd be pissed at the way they are selling cars with BMW badge on.

How come This thread isnt even on first page of google anymore when you search big motoring world?

Do you think these have been (shudder) made up per chance ?

If so, the customer names are a bit unimaginative...

Perhaps a couple of suggestions for the BMW team to use ?

Mr T. Osser
Mr Ivor Bigun
Mr Mustapha Babba (its a northern thing...)
Mr Wan. Kerr

I ll get me coat...
