Bulb warning sign but which bulb?

Hi,

Had the bulb warning icon ping up on my 06 E91 yesterday, had a look at all the lights ( dipped\full beam, brakes, reverse and indicators) but they all work fine.

Is there any way of getting more info from the OBC regarding which bulb it thinks has failed? I don't have the ccc\cic media controls.

Ha. I got this yesterday too. Couldn't spot it either.

Did you check puddle lights and fogs? Apparently there are two bulbs in the brake lights so could be just one gone so one will seem a little less bright.

I looked into it an it doesn't necessary mean a bulb has failed. There are a few causes, bulb slightly knocked from a bump, some corrosion on the bulb contacts which trips the warning but bulb still works.

This site is exactly what you need, if you go through the BC to the bulb warning, press & hold the button on the end of the stalk & it will give you a code, look the code up on the below site

The carly app will tell you exactly which bulb is out, or on its way out.

I had this with my brothers. The dash was showing the "dip beam" symbol after we'd retrofitted LCI lights, but the dip beam was clearly working fine.

Eventually realised it uses the same symbol for the front foglights and realised we hadnt plugged them in :P

it's showing me : CCID 132 which seems to equate to "Front Right Side Light Failure", all lights seem to be working though, so I'm a bit confused...

It may be that the lamp that is fitted is the wrong wattage?
