no........you have to import the car into Canada. For a lease, not worth it.

For financing, plenty of good deals to be had. My brother's last 4 cars have been from the US (he lives in Toronto).

Thanks for the comments. A friend (non US citizen) is studying in the WA and wants a car for a couple of years. Instead of buying one now and selling it after two years, i thought it might be cheaper to lease one. I don't see a definite answer above, anyone know for sure whether it can be done? I don't think you can finance as a non-US citizen so it's either pay cash for it or lease it.

you can finance (i did) and you can also lease

as a non citizen, you can lease a vehicle from the US.... as long as you have a valid student/work visa.... meaning you have to be a resident somehow... not on a tourist status or visa.
