Dock connector is much better than using the headphone output of the iphone....much better.

How do I connect dock connector to the little aux hole? Thats all my car has.

you're not really an idiot, most cars either come with an iPod/iPhone cable and it's obvious, or they work by piping the audio digitally over USB such that the normal cable is all you need.

BMW up until the latest generation decided to require this stupid y cable:

I asked the same thing as well before i got it.

You plug one end into the bottom of your iphone, then the other 2 ends into a 12V cigarette lighter source and your cars Aux in. I had to use the rear 12v source as it didnt reach the one in the ashtray. This charges your iphone whilst you play music
