not sure about lex, but louisville krogers are shell gas

OP, if it's on this list then you're safe: http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html

I'm lucky since there's a nearby Sunoco that sells 100 octane until 10 PM

1st choice chevron. 2nd shell. I don't fuel with any others unless it's an emergency and even then I only fuel up a couple of gallons until I could get to a chevron.

Any opinions on Costco or Sam's club gas? I noticed they aren't on the top tier list but was curious how they fit in.

I don't know how much it matters, but I make a point of only using Chevron. I filled up for over $70 this morning.

Shell 93 or Exxon 93 usually, if I'm very low on gas i'll just fill up at any name brand station.

I use 91 from whatever gas station also dispenses the E85, and I do a 50/50 mix for now.

Can't wait till I move to the midwest, where the fuel isn't so California crappy

Has Shell or Chevron been shown to have better gas than other stations?

All the gas IMO is the damn same. For the last 6 years I was a believer in Shell gas only 93 V power. The one by my house shut down so I go to speedway and its about 50-80 cents cheaper. I been using it for a while now and its the same thing. My buddy with his e36 m3 been using it for 8 years and no problems.

Speedway rewards is great too. You can get free drinks/ Car washes / condoms lol
