BMW E90 on H&R Sports
Finally got the Springs on thursday night, theyve only been sat in the boot for 2 months!!
Car sits nicely (on one side, more on that later!) and looks loads better, the ride isnt as bad as i first thought it would be although it can get pretty crashy on rubbish roads, plenty of them! Put these on in anticipation of getting my new 19s in a fortnight! Anyway back to the level of the car, it sits lovely on the drivers side, but is around 15mm higher on the front left, and 5mm higer on the rear left comparing to the right hand side, anyone have any ideas why this would be?! I think theres a problem with the higer side as opposed to the right hand side dropping too much? Ive read about these cars being corner weighted in hong kong and the usa so that when the driver is in the car levels off. But they apparantly didnt reverse this for the UK marker, so annoyingly when fatso over here gets in the already lower drivers side it wont level off!!? Anyone else noticed a different between drivers side and passenger side? (PS the difference was there before the springs but this seems to have made it more obvious!) |

I was happy with the immediate results but the drop after 4 weeks was way aggressive. Lets see how your car settles in 4 weeks time.

I think there was a discussion few days ago and if I remember correctly, OSR sits lower due to having battery sitting on that side.

Looks good. Hopefully the other side settles and it levels off.
Im considering h&r springs as well but worried about the ride comfort. Is it miles different from the OEM ride? |

As H&R build these essentially for the LHD market, it could be the syndrome where they make one side of the car (passenger for us in the UK) sit a little higher as in Europe that side will always have a driver in it and so, one-up, it will look the same both sides once on the move.

I've got Prolines...
Mine has settled now for well over a month and sits like your passenger side does now. Which was exactly what I wanted... It doesn't really look lowered. I had the issue before with the front left sitting higher but my back right was slightly lower than the back left. With the springs fitted the back sits level but the front left is still slightly higher but it's hardly noticeable. Make sure when you look at it it's parked on a perfectly level surface. My drive looks level but it isn't! Depending on where I'm parked on it the car looks completely different. It's only when I get into my work car park and walk around the car that it looks good all round. There's nothing wrong with your car, look on ebay etc at all the 330/335 for sale - the front left sits noticeably higher on all of them. Strange; and shit! Here.. The back doesn't sit that low normally, it's because it's on a slope. (further down my drive is flat if any confusion from above) |

Looking good Danny. How did you find the switch over. Must have taken me about 3 hours to replace a broken front spring on my old e90 I sold to a mate. What a wrestling match.

The drop H&R's give is awesome, looks really good!
I would say the difference is to do with the camber of the road but doubt it would be a difference in spring height which achieves this?! |

20mm rear nothing on the front. just noticed that it maybe rubbing in the front and wearing the tyre. maybe thats what the noise is (the lower side!) maybe the shocker is buggered hence the noise and the extra low on that side?
