Just ordered a 335is! My 1st BMW!

Hi all,

I've been reading this forum for months, and finally I placed an order on the 335is coupe in Canada. AW with Coral Red interior, and DCT! Now I'm having second thoughts about not having idrive... is it worth an extra $2,000?

I love my iDrive and I have a 2007. I wouldn't buy another one without it.

I had a E90 '06 330xi without idrive and lot's of wires for my portable Nav and bluetooth. What a mess of wires. I now have the 09 E93 335i Cabrio ... with the new iDrive. Well worth it!

Congrats, you are getting a classic bimmer. I look at things this way: what would I rather spend the 2k on. In my case, LSD, AST shocks, M3 suspension bits, etc. are higher priorities than luxury convenience items. If I were a traveling sales rep, then i-drive might be more important. In 5 years it likely will be worthless.

I have the 07 and I don't have it and I don't regret not getting it. Although, the current system is nice. I would probably get it I was getting an 11.

Definitely get it. It's an integral part of the car when it's designed, it also facilitates the use of the car's features.

I think the overall concesus is to get the iDrive. So DO IT!!! Why get such a loaded out car, and a bad ass one at that, and leave out the piece of technical genius that is the iDrive? Cmon now, you have to have it!

iDrive is much more than just navigation, a must have with the 2011 especially with the combox. You may lose future resale value if you don't get it...

Yeah it's well worth it. So much better of a control center than the straight-out-of-my-E36 alternative.

IMO of course.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm surprised no one went against it. Just emailed my CA and see if he can add it in for me.
