Just looked at my new tires on the car and realized they were put in wrong by local s

So I got my tires put on at a local shop in va that has a few shops around the area. Noticed today, about two months after install that I have a front tire on the back and a rear tire on the front.

So I'm running one 235 on the front left and a 255 on the front right. Same for the rear. I'm at the shop right now getting it fixed.

Is there any damage I should be looking for. Would this have caused a prob with the gearing in the diff? I'm definitely getting an alignment done on the house but just want to make sure I don't miss anything else.

Turns out only one wheel/tire combo was right. The front left was good. The rest were wrong tire/wrong wheel/wrong location.

Just found crack in wheel :.(

You should be ok as long as there was no rubbing on the front wheel. 255 up front is doable but still pretty tight. The rear is open so it shouldn't of messed anything up in there either.

Sorry to hear about your cracked wheel... maybe you can blame that on them too ;-)

I would take it back and get them to mount them properly at the very least.

Yeah, did that already. They were genuinely confused as to what tire went where. They didn't know that you could look at the inside of the wheel for the size.

Curry's in Chantilly (now owned by Mr Tire) recently mounted my directional tires backward. Three weeks later I just happened to look at the tread direction and said WTF!

I took mine to Curry's in Fairfax. I did the same thing. It was 4 weeks later and I just happened to look at a rear wheel and was like, "that looks stretched". Looked and it was all FUBAR.

I should have known better but I figured they could do tires.

Mr Tire is horrible. There is a reason they are so cheap. I took the wifes Honda CR-V there for new tires. I had it back there 3 times before they got it right . . . and that was a Honda. A 6 year old could work on one.

I don't understand what is so hard about mounting a directional tire the CORRECT way??? IMO it is pure and utter laziness/lack of giving a shit. That's the kind of stuff that ruins reputations right there.
