Why LED's for angel eyes vs bulb

Stupid question but the halos are powered with a standard light bulb. So why not replace it with the preference of using an led vs a very white light bulb or using one of those screw in led bulbs vs something with big specialized heatsink etc

If you take the time to read this forum and see the DIYs for replacing these illuminators, you'd find that LEDs are preferable because they're brighter and last longer. There is very limited room where these are located and the replacements have to be the same shape and size and have the same base as the originals. They are not "screw-in" type bulbs.

+1

Take a look at your bulb and remove it for inspection. If you do not know how to access the bulb and remove it, do a search on youtube videos on how the procedure is done.

You will see that the bulbs have to be fastened in by marked cutouts on the base of the housing.

Incandescent bulbs start out as bright (not as much as an LED) but fade over time. LEDs do not change their color as do incansecents - incandescents can go from white to yellowish white as they age. Incandescents are not always as white as LEDs are either.

Trust us when we say to upgrade your AEs to Pure White LEDs. You will not regret it.
