Leaking rear diff
Does this look familiar? the search didn't turn up to much info. Any thoughts on where its leaking or have you had the same issue? the pic is from the right side of the diff (passenger side). I looked at real oem it looks like it may be # 13?

Looking at your pics I'd say 'leak' was overstating it. More like a very small weep over a long period of time. If it was mine I would check the fluid level then clean down the housing and see if it re-appears.

If there is a leak, yes it would be #13 you want to replace. However, I would suggest changing the fluid so you know it was full and then cleaning the area that looks to be leaking. Drive for another few weeks to see if it returns.

Thanks guys that seems like a easier solution, i hope its just weeping. Any diff oil you would recommend? I seen some talk about redline but i cant find it around here.

Redline is great, but usually has to be ordered. I use Mobil 1 on my e90 and e30.
