So R7 is the same as R5, but specifically it's an updated map to resolve any AA XEDE "limp mode" occurrences?

From their Web site...

Upload software version “R7”
to BANK “0”.

For error code of "Inadequate boost" and a limp mode condition:
This is a tuned file with running a higher boost setting with:
Active BOV or stock BOV and stock exhaust

^^ Doesn't seem like any improvement in power, just more optimal tune, power distribution.

AA needs to come out with something to compete with V2 and JB2-R but without the wait time...then it'd be something worth buying, other than that, i see them fading out with sales...

I have R7, and you do feel a difference, better power distribution.

I think unless AA went backwards with their tuning then any JB2 tune is not competition. This is a real tune, I don't even know how people compare them. Yes, the end results are similar, but how they get there is completely different.

Nice to see AA updating their maps, even if it was only for limp mode problems, and not for performance.

I was told by aa that R7 should be smoother, less of a hole in the power delivery between 3k and 4k rmp.

Thats right, and I can voucher for that, I went down there on Monday, and they immediately helped me out, once again they show excellent customer service.

Thanks Omar and Kirk, the car is running much better now.

R7 is designed to deliver the power smoother, we have a good amount of customer who opted for a nice linear delivery and then there are those who still like that initial burst of power.

It was not designed to be a "LBT" map. There are no limp mode issues with R5 or R6 I am pretty sure the posters above can verify this. The "Inadequte Boost" phrase has been on our site from R3 and R4, I am having it removed as we speak.

p.s. Sorry about the whole Auburn & LSU thing...

I thought R5 smoothened the power delivery? So your saying R7 is even smoother now? So when is the next map coming out with more power?

Can someon also confirm what I am finding? The power is indeed smooth.... but.. The boost has been reduce to 12 psi.. and no longer 14psi...at peak... I don't have G-Tech.. or anything to measure the new Map.. nor I am interest in doing a dyno.... I have a boost gauge install..... and not seeing 14PSI anymore...
