Bimmian.ca - Carbon Fiber Parts by AutoCarbon any good?
Has anyone bought carbon fiber parts from Bimmian.ca, specifically the ones from AutoCarbon? I am interested in CF side mirror covers and front E90 splitters. They are considerably cheaper than the factory parts thats why I am interested in them. The pictures look pretty legit but I was wondering if anyone else tried them out??

We carry the AutoCarbon line and they are solid products. The Mirror Covers do fit well and I like them as an easier install option when compared to the full replacements.

Bimmian.ca is local in the GTA and i think they will allow for a walkthrough of their showroom on a appointment basis....anyone up for a meet and drive over to Bimmian and then a GB for splitters and other goodies from them!

So no one has any actual first hand experience with the AutoCarbon product?

I have pre lci AutoCarbon splitters from Bimmian, but they're not on the car yet. What can I say... they're beautiful and it's a shame they'd be so far from the eye so you can't admire them more, it's also a shame I'm painting them, haha.

I used to buy from Bimmian, but than US Vendors were selling for less than them even with the shipping. I could never understand why they would sell for more than the US vendors. Either way i bought a few pieces from Bimmian with good experience. The autocarbon stuff is good.
But DO NOT order the replacement floor mats from Bimmian. the cheapy ones suck. I have a hole in mine right where my heel goes near the accelerator pedal. Less than 6 months it happened.

I've got the auto shift knob and the mirror caps. They are GREAT. Have been on the car for a year and a half and still look perfect. Fitment is pretty good...not quite snug on bottom but other than that you can't tell they are caps.

I bought AutoTecknic full replacement carbon fiber mirror covers off ebay for $200 including shipping, and they are a perfect fitment/replacement. And they look amazing, nothing but compliments from people.
I never found the cf mirror covers to look good on any car I have seen them on. Too many imperfections on how they fit when you take a closer look..even the downtown Toronto dealership had them on their cars and it looked bad to me. That being said, Bimmian.ca is way to expensive in general on all of their products, you can find better deals if you look around. |

All I could find were covers from Auto Tecknic on ebay. You are sure they are replacement mirrors?

Enjoy! Now if I could just get my hands on the mirror cover pics it would close this thread nicely... Last edited by Volasko; 04-17-2013 at 10:52 PM.. |
