Alloy Wheel Refurbs - Recommendations?
Anyone suggest some good alloy wheel refurb locations? I have 19inch alloys original in gloss black. I want them refurbed in some colour but with the added white border on them.
Prices and previous experiences will be appreciated. Im based in West London. Got a quote from Sytner Sunningdale BMW for £67 per wheel, with no border. I want them looking like these Currently look like this

If you can get to basingstoke Myallloys.co.uk are great similar price but you get full sand blast and powdercoat inside and out come out brand new. Had mine done last winter and finish has been great and very tough.
@67 sytner is only quoting for cosmetic repair not full strip and redo.

Contact Dips at The Custom Cars (West London). He did my wheels and about 10,000 wheel refurb and all I'm going to say is Wow. When you see what he did with my wheels from the way it looked to finished article, I wouldn't go anywhere else lol.
Sign up on www.evotechnik.net and check his thread with pics pics and more pics... you'll be simply amazed my friend! If you do go, let him know Sam from e90post mentioned your name.. no I'm not on commission and no I'm not getting anything from it whatsoever, but you may get a good price I'm sure others on here will also vouch for his good work (PM MEGA / P 5UML). That Final look you're going for looks awesome bud absolutely love it! |

@afalton: Cheers mate tbh i've never heard of them before, but their site makes it seem like they know what they doing. Obviously not then.
@magic77: I have spoken to them but they dont do the borders on the alloys plus they asking £65 + vat. Plus they kind of far from me like 40 miles away. Thanks for letting me know about how Sytner BMW refurb, they claim they only do the front end off the alloy. Seems like a lot of positive reviews about Dips, Im still waiting to get a price from him. Thanks guys, ill let you know how it goes.

I wouldn't do sytners front finish had seen few results and its done by mobile tech and is on site and seen it peel very quickly.
Which ever you go for ensure its a full sandblast to metal and respray

I'm glad I found this thread, I'm thinking of refurbing and full blacking out my iforged wheels with white time attack.
So these guys you are recommending in west London.. How much they charge for a whole set?

Not too local for you but I've always used http://www.wheelrefurbishing.co.uk/
They are tricky to get to, but do a really good job and there is a regular stream of Ferraris, Astons etc there having their wheels done. |

A lot depends on what you want doing [stock colours v special order] and whether or not the wheels have tyres or not.
At wicked wheels recently, I had a set of oem style 195 18's refurbed [they were in a shabby state] oem ferric grey. No tyres, ww check them for run out and then visual check for cracks once dipped before applying the colour. In my case, I delivered/collected the wheels, had no tyres to remove/refit and no problems with buckles or cracks. £180 for the set which included a better lacquer than std to resist peel etc. Wheels look great. |

At the place I use you can either drop the wheels off either with or without tyres, or drop the whole car off and pick it up 2-3 days later all sorted.
