Depo Projector90s from Jlevisw installed, 4300k (w/ pics)

Since there may be others on the fence about pulling the trigger on the Depo Projector90s from Jlevisw, I thought I'd share my results. These are the projectors with the 4300K HID option. I went from OEM halogens on my 2006 E90 325i to these. I am using some eBay error cancelers (found here), and with these in place, these are error-free and flicker-free.

They are quality-built projectors, and aside from warning cancelers and Euro-spec turn signal bulb holders, there is nothing else you'll need to transition from a halogen-spec pre-LCI E90. I have no complaints whatsoever and don't know how I lived with halogens on my E90 for so long.....

Edit: Daytime pics

If only had AHL support, would love to ditch the orange for a reasonable cost.

Looks great, now even more convinced to do the upgrade...

How was the installation process?

Just ordered from Jlevi, pretty pumped.

You won't be disappointed with them; aside from aesthetics, the difference in visibility is amazing, and for $440 shipped I can't complain.

The install process was very simple, and I am a total newb. It took me ~4 hours from start to finish, but once I got the first headlight installed and figured everything out, the second was a breeze. There isn't a very thorough DIY on here (I don't think) for getting the headlamps out once you have the bumper off, only some vague ones, so uncertainty and trial and error cost me some time. Pretty easy overall though. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions regarding the install process. I have some tips that could potentially save you some time/hassle.

@ OP, thanks for posting pics of the beam pattern and cutoffs.

I'll probably go this route since the OEM kit costs $2500.

Thanks I think I read on a thread somewhere that JLeviSW is working on offering in-house angel eye upgrades on these projectors sometime in the future.

Looks great Jason, thanks for posting the photos and review!

We are playing with some hyperwhite LEDs as a future option for the angel eyes

The projector look like theyve been pasted on compared to the oem adaptives. But way better than the stock halogens.

Do you have any pics of both lights during the daytime?

@ Any of the JLeviSW reps, can the angel eyes of the P90 be wired up to the Daeos harness so that the AEs will be running on DRLs instead of the high beam lamps?

+1 on this question, I just turned off my DRLs and have been leaving the switch set to parking lights to keep the AEs on when driving during the day- not an ideal solution

Unfortunately no it will not work without some custom wiring. It should be possible but we're not sure what wire to tap on the P90 to make it work...haven't gotten a chance to test this out yet.

Thanks for the response. I'm not too concerned about that, I'm just glad us halogen owners have something to look forward to!

To quote Nick's PM to me in regard to this question.....

Angel Eye ground(shared ground) is the 4th pin (right most pin). Again remember that the 2nd and 5th pin are empty.

Orientation is looking at the headlight with the 5 pin on top and 7pin on bottom.

Hope that helps!
