I have them, haven't had them go out on me yet but was thinking of going back to stock anyway. OEM angel eyes provide more lighting and don't flicker or go out.

Hope you have better luck with HID's

We've been telling forum members this for months, the RDs do not have efficient heatsinks, albiet a poor design for even/uniform ring display. Yet the cheap cost is what attracts new buyers out there - driving vendors to keep offering this subpar product.

The purchase price of the RDs and replacing it with an HID kit will already put you into AngeliBright territory. This route beforehand simply achieves better results with 0 headaches.

Do yourself a favor and go the AiB route.

I ran into the same problem when I joined the forum. I asked E92 because of all the contradicting information online (well, it's more like E92 is an advocate of RDs, but everyone else isn't...but I didn't catch onto that the first time I joined..) what I should get, and he told me RDs.

I think there should be something on this forum (a sticky) that ranks the angel eyes in terms of price + rating. That's what we all need when we're new to getting angel eyes..

I have the RD's as well and do not run them as DRLs either. I don't care if they are visible in the day because I don't run them and think they look great at night because they are not overpowering! I have only had them on for 3 months but have not hand any issues with them going out. So far, I am happy with them, especially for the price.

+1 If you're switching out your lights, do you want lights that are unevenly lit?

The outer ring is blue, the inner ring is white. It looks pretty dumb.

I have the RD V2's in my E90 and haven't had a single problem yet. No flickering, no burn outs, they are as they were described to me. Knock on wood, but I love them, see sig! Oh yah and they also light the whole angel ring solid. Maybe I just got lucky.

They are fine with E90's. Everyone knows they suck for E92's.

Cornering lights are easy, you can get an H3 Hyperwhite replacement like the Xenesis Tru Match bulbs we carry.

e90s are worse as far a longevity goes on the RD (or MYCARR) units- you will have problems down the road. It's best to go with the LUX for the sedan models.
