How come no Shark Injector for N52?

I called one of my local BMW shops, they only have this Shark Injector hand held tune for 328i but for E36/M52 only, $299 usb upgradable. It would be perfect if they have one for the E90/N52, what's the deal?

newer electronics are harder to hack and the valvetronic is harder to work with. They probably feel the cost to figure it all out isn't worth it.

The difficulty is in tuning itself not in making a hand held USB upgradable unit, am I correct? I can see them charge $500+ for such a unit for the N52.

the unit itself needs to be programmed to be able read and modify the software in the factory DME, before you can even start with tuning. That in itself is a lot of work, depending on where you are starting.

honestly though, I don't know why they stopped making it (Turner MS sells it for the older cars). Maybe the programmer just quit and is doing something else, lol.

Or they do not think most 328i owners want to tune their cars so it is not as lucrative as developing a tune for the 335i.

Isn't the E90 running a different electronics platform than the older cars (CAN Bus vs I Bus)? That would necessitate developing completely new Shark Injector hardware to be compatible would it not? The Shark Inj was always developed by Jim Conforti and he's still around. I know he's been working on a lot of E39 M5 stuff lately because I was researching buying an M5. Now I'm back looking at 335s...
